Though Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate came out in mid February, and with us not being veterans of the series, we wanted to give it plenty of time before we tried to cover it during an episode.  Even after being 30 hours in, I'm still learning new mechanics and features in Monster Hunter.  We had all heard from various places that MH4U was a great starting point for newcomers to the series, to which we couldn't agree more.  It strikes a nice balance of showing you new things but also testing you in the knowledge you've already gained from playing it.  Find out our thoughts on Monster Hunter 4 during the episode as well as some coverage of GDC announcements during nibblebits.

Evolve: Thumbstick Athletes Podcast Episode 187

I think everyone is starting is to realize that the first-person shoot genre in gaming has gotten relatively stale as of late.  Specifically the multi-player FPS seems to have been recycled and rehashed to death, so it's nice to hear when developers are trying to change the pace a little.  Last year it was Titanfall who tried to shake up the genre with mechs and parkour tossed into the standard multi-player affair.  This year it's Evolve's turn to tweak the formula with asymmetrical 4v1 multi-player where 4 players team up to take down an ever evolving, giant monster.  Will takes the lead in this episode, giving a rundown of the characters, abilities and gameplay and the conversation turns to DLC later on with Evolve's strange implementation of of their season pass and different versions of the game.
