Episode 109: Saint's Row IV

For this week, we cover the greatly anticipated (by Dan anyway) Saint's Row IV.  There was some concern (mostly Dan) that under new publisher Deep Silver, Saint's Row would be more serious and less fun, ruining what made the series fun in the first place.  All of our fears were misplaced however, and even Eric who wasn't totally sold on Saint's Row: The Third ended up loving IV. (Though you wont find that out until a later episode.)   During What We Played Will went back and played Saint's Row: The Third to get a feel for SR before jumping into the fourth game, and Corey again plays a wide variety of games.  Show notes and flash player after the click:

Episode 108: Pikmin 3

Our first episode centered around a Wii U new release, on the action/strategy title Pikmin 3.  Find out what the Athletes thought about the control scheme, and whether or not Nintendo made good use of it's new-fangled controller.  Later on in the episode Corey announces a few more titles to add to his "beaten" list, putting himself very comfortably in the lead.  The XBone also rears its (ugly?) head later on, rounding out the episode.  Show notes and flash player after the jump:

Episode 98: Remember Me/The Swapper

We talk two new releases this week, neither of which came out with too much fanfare.  One being the stunning indie puzzle platformer The Swapper, and the other, the cyberpunk beat 'em up Remember Me, with it's interesting take on memories.  Maybe there wasn't too much excitement around these games because there aren't a lot of moments where fist pumps are appropriate, like in Call of Duty or Madden, unless you REALLY like solving puzzles and digging up forgotten and painful memories.  Either way, two good games came out this week and deserve some attention!  Show notes and flash player after the jump:
